Small Calendar Grid PropertiesIf the selected layout has one or more small calendar blocks, then the Small tab will be available in the main dialog:
Calendar Dividers allow to control the vertical/horizontal dividers between calendar blocks in a group. This option is available for some layouts only. Main Title group allows to put a common title for a group of small calendar blocks. This is useful when creating a complete calendar layout consisting of small calendars only to put the current year or other text in it. Here is an example of such layout:
The Text field specifies the string to be displayed in the main title. It can be any text and/or a combination of one or more of the following pattern symbols:
For example, the following patterns will produce these results:
Horizontal/Vertical Spacing specify the distance between individual calendar blocks. Clicking the Edit button invokes the Small Calendar Properties dialog which has more parameters describing the calendar block itself:
The Normal/Weekend/Holiday/Extra group in the upper left corner of the dialog specifies the font and background properties for day cells of different types. Thus you can specify a black font for normal (working) days while use red color for holidays. The "extra" days are the days of previous/next month displayed in the empty cells of the current month (when selected from the Extra Cells list). The Apply To All button copies all the frame/font properties from the current day type and populates other day types with these parameters. Orientation could be Horizontal (day cells are arranged from left to right) and Vertical (from top to bottom). Extra Cells could be Empty or display Extra Days (days of previous/next months) Combine Last 2 Weeks allows to combine the days of the 6th and 5th row of the calendar, for example 23/30). Choice includes No, Diagonally, Horizontally, Vertically. When Highlight Holidays and/or Highlight Weekends are checked, then the holiday/weekend cells are drawn in with own font/background properties. Otherwise the normal day cell properties are used. Body Frame specifies the border/background for the body of the block (the area behind the day cells and the header but not including the title). Cell Spacing is a relative distance between each day cell. This is especially obvious when cells have some background specified. Alignment specifies the text alignment within day cells. The lower portion of the dialog contains the properties of the calendar block Title (the area which contains the name of the month and the current year).
The Header tab of the dialog specifies the properties of the block header (area where days of week are displayed).
Week Numbers can be displayed alongside each week row (or column in the vertical calendar orientation). This dialog tab specifies the font and background properties of the week number bar as well as its placement. Next: Month Planner Properties > |
